As part of an educational initiative, our Assistant Director of Nursing, Deborrah Lynch took part in a continuous professional development study group of the All Ireland Institute of Hospice and Palliative Care (AIIHPC). Deborrah has been actively involved in the network meetings and has had a valuable role in developing the initiative as part of the Palliative Care Senior Nurses Network (PCNN) during Phase II. They have come up with an educational resource for nurses on the management of constipation in palliative care patients. The educational on-line video resource developed was presented on the 21st of November, 2015 to an audience of palliative care professionals. AIIHPC reflects a broad range of expertise in the service delivery, academic preparation for and management of hospice and palliative care across the whole island of Ireland.
